TRIVIA QUESTION
Can a hippopatumus swim?
----------------------------------
LAST TRIVIA QUESTION
Is an alligator or crocodile shown in the picture below?
ANSWER: Alligator
How Can You Tell?
Shape of the jaw: Alligators have wide u-shaped, rounded snouts, while crocodiles tend to have longer, pointed v-shaped snouts.
Teeth: The 4th tooth on the lower jaw sticks up over the lip on crocodiles, so you can see it when their mouthes are closed. In alligators, this 4th tooth is covered up.
Habitat: Crocs also have special glands in their tongues that can get rid of excess salt, so they frequently live in saltwater habitats. Alligators also have these glands, but they don't function quite as well, so they prefer freshwater habitats.
